He is an Ireland actor. He born in Ballymena,Northern Ireland. He born at 7 June 1952. His father was a cook. He has three sisters.
When he was nine years old, he began boxing lesson, later he became Ulster's amateur senior boxing champion. When he was 11 years old, English teacher offered him the lead role in a school play. And, in 1999, he got role in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace wich movie was most popular movie in 1999. In 2002 year, he was starred in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. In 2003, he starred in Love Actuelly and got Phoenix Film Critics Society Award for Best Cast.
The next year, he got role in Kinsey, and he got more than five awards in this movie. In 2005, he got role in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe wich movie was most populer movies in 2005. He got two Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor and Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Leading Actor in 2012. After 2012 year, he got role in more than ten movies.
